Did you know that laughter can make you healthier?
According to researchers from University of Maryland School of Medicine, led by Dr. Michael Miller, laughter is linked to healthy function of blood vessels and this linkage may help protect you against a heart attack. Researchers discovered in their study, that people with heart disease were 40 percent less likely to laugh in different situations compared to people of the same age without heart disease.
Did you know that when we laugh we lower our blood pressure which then increases our blood flow to the heart? This action allows more oxygenation of the blood which helps us strengthen our artery walls. This can be very valuable for people who want to prevent conditions such as Hypertension (high blood pressure), heart disease and arthritis. - May raise the level of infection-fighting antibodies in one’s body along with increasing the level of immune cells.

- Increase the response of tumor and disease killing cells
- Guard against respiratory infections which can help with the frequency of colds

- Improve alertness and creativity
With all of these health benefits above why not try to add more laughter into your daily activities. Some suggestions include spending more time with family and friends, reading a funny book or watching a comedy.
